An international register — independent McLaren specialists
Find a McLaren specialist you can trust with the keys.
Independent workshops for servicing, restoration, pre-purchase inspection and storage, outside the dealer network — every one the register can find, compiled from public sources rather than from whoever applied to be listed.
Trading history, insurance, tooling and marque experience — checked before anything is listed.
02
A live walk-through
A camera walk of the workshop — premises, equipment and work in progress, on the same checklist everywhere.
03
Re-verified annually
Every badge carries its inspection date and means the same thing in every country.
Why a register, and not a marketplace
A marketplace is paid when you transact. A register is paid to keep a standard. Those two things pull in opposite directions, and almost everything about how this site is built follows from choosing the second.
What gets checked
Verification is an inspection, not a payment. A workshop is assessed on trading history and insurance, on tooling and diagnostic equipment, on where each technician trained, and on the premises themselves — walked on camera, against a fixed checklist, never a folder of photographs. Pass, and the badge carries the date it was earned. It expires after a year, and it comes off if the re-check fails.
Not every section applies to every business. A storage facility is not judged on diagnostic rigs; a workshop is not judged on humidity control. Each certificate names the sections actually assessed, so the badge means one thing everywhere rather than the average of several.
What we won't do
We don't take a cut of the work. We don't hold the conversation once a workshop has your details — the introduction is the product, and after that it's a direct relationship. We don't sell the badge: placement can be paid for and is labelled where it is, but verification cannot, and no listing can edit its own standing.
Every badge carries its inspection date — and means exactly the same thing in Dubai as it does in Woking.
Why the free listing never expires
The hard part of this isn't collecting subscriptions, it's persuading a good workshop to be listed at all. A free listing that quietly runs out makes that harder, so it doesn't run out. Nobody who joins early is ever asked to pay to keep what they already had.
