Anyone can call themselves a specialist. A verified listing means someone from the register walked the premises on camera, against a fixed checklist, and checked the insurance, the tooling and where each technician trained.
The badge carries the date it was earned, expires after a year, and comes off if the re-check fails. Listings without one are still listed, free and permanently — they simply haven't been inspected, and everything on them is marked as stated rather than checked.
